Management has a very unreasonable expectations; dealing with 1,200+ entities requires a lot of data processing that management is not involved with and therefore does not understand. This leads to unrealistic deadlines that are not flexible and put unnecessary pressure on the team (these are internal deadlines and not statutory). Work is not really reviewed by management; senior review is often final review, which can lead to mistakes falling through the cracks and subsequently leads to a stressful environment. Very toxic work culture; management is often condescending and uses intimidation to try and force employees to meet deadlines. For example, during busy season, employees were forced to work until the team was dismissed by management regardless of whether they were finished with their projects or not. The earliest the team was dismissed was 10pm, the latest was shortly passed midnight. High volume of work so although hours are less than public, you can still expect to work passed 9pm regularly during busy season, often until midnight and on weekends. Insanely high attrition: in a department of about 20 people, I have seen 2 directors leave, 5 managers, and 12+ staff/seniors leave in less than 3 years. In 2025, the year started with 12 people on the team, 9 left within the first half of the year
