Pros

You will learn what you DON'T want in your next clinic.

Cons

Honestly, if you are fresh out of school and/or need experience before dental school I would recommend working here, but ONLY short term. By that I mean maybe half a year max. You will be so burnt out and start to hate dentistry if you stay any longer. The reviews on here stating "their" office is not understaffed or overworked are likely those who work at newer clinics. PDS calls that the office "honeymoon" phase. After a year or two when they pickup a patient pool they slowly add in patients and don't hire additional assistants. Additionally it's all about $ with these chains. Clinical decisions become business decisions and the front office team will remind you of that every. single. day. You will be managed by a team of business degree dingbats who know nothing of dentistry or patient care. I made the mistake of working here longer than I originally planned and have now become the office pessimist. Luckily, I can see past the DSO garbage and still love dentistry and know the grass is greener beyond PDS.

Thank you for your review. While team member experiences may vary across practices, our commitment to supporting our teams and keeping patient care at the center of what we do remains the same across all supported offices. We appreciate your feedback and encourage team members to bring any concerns to their leaders. Our People Services team is also available to help ensure every team member has a supportive environment in which to thrive.

Pros

Benefits Hours OSHA Growth opportunity

Cons

Management styles were all over the place and very unpredictable. They don’t fix the issue for patients to have better standard of care if it means losing money. The Orthodontist on site did not ever check if patients were seen for recare visits the entire time he had them in his care at the same general office. Lots of preventable gum disease due this negligence. There was hardly a concern to fix the issue probably because it was increasing production on both depts in the same building.
