Pros

There are some great people interspersed thought this company - although many are just on auto-pilot. I adored my boss.

Cons

Where to begin? In a nutshell you'll notice a theme in these reviews about unethical dental practices, pressure for dentists to hit average daily production quotas (that can compromise their work and options given to patients) and the efficacy of the "We Believe" mantras, The "We Believes" that sit at the core of this business are a complete sham. Upper management (in Irvine) and the majority of the RPs (Regionsl Partners) are truly incompetent. They are not open to learning anything new and, in fact, will brand you a troublemaker should you question process or make on-going suggestions to improve efficiencies. There ARE some wonderful, knowledgeable and highly qualified RPs at PDS but for the most part they are over paid with overblown egos born out of the PDS cult kool-aid, led and championed by the CEO. If s company wants to base its mission on religious beliefs that's certainly their choice. That needs to be at the forefront of their public image however. Until you actually step foot into PDS it's more than unclear that religion drives this company. And it's more than surprising to start working there only to find out that this is a driving factor for their business. The dichotomy here- which makes it all the more contradictory - is that their day to day actions and processes (at every level) are so far from being good and honest it's a wonder they even feel justified bringing religious beliefs into the mix at any point in time. I've seen exceptional dentists just get run off because they're not permitted to do their best work. They aren't really encouraged to forge patient relationships because the pressure to constantly upsell doesn't make for a solid foundation of trust (Doctor - patient / Doctor - leadership.) and trust should be at the core of any good relationship. If you have any real business sense, ethics, sound judgement, creative ideas, the ability to develop long term plans with methods of measuring ROI, an inherent interest in your community, the intention of providing quality care to patients and a general make-up that is genuine (to your core) then do yourself a rather large favor and don't even step a toe in these waters. You have options. Don't sell your soul to work here at any level, just to have a job. You will be treated unjustly, without respect and it will take you a good amount of time to actually remember who you are, on the other side of it.

Cons

forced to produce or you will lose your job, a LOT of turnover, horrible regional managers, hypocritical idealogy... pretending to care about the patients.. when the bottom line is just about MONEY.
