Pros

I learned a lot about myself and what I can and cannot tolerate as a person. For this path to greater self discovery, I am grateful. I thoroughly enjoyed all of my experience with my patients. The patients I met along the way had a huge impact on me.

Cons

Greed is the first word that comes to mind. This company only cares about the bottom line at the end of the day. They push you to push products and services that are not necessary for the patient. No matter how much you produce money-wise in a day, you never have the sense that it is good enough. There is always a pep-talk from brainwashed upper management about how you can sell more this and more that. It is always more, more, more. Once you meet a certain goal ADP (Average Daily Production) they increase it until it is at a level that is unachievable. During my 5 years working at PDS, there was an extremely high turnover rate of both patients and employees.

Pros

CEREC Free CE. Also chance to meet other doctors and gurus Charity Organized and structured training for support staff. Marketing done for you. No shortages of supplies. Beautiful modern offices (at least the new ones) There's always an opening for docs Most offices not open Saturday Good for new grads to learn quickly and about the business side Specialists

Cons

Experience will really depend on the office location and owner dentist/manager/regional manager High goals Low fees It's a DSO (corporate) at the end of the day There's always an opening (because they can't keep anyone) But never an opening at the "good" offices because employees don't want to leave Benefits suck. Most were only for full-time Per contract, can't work anywhere else if you work 4+ days for PDS CE was free but always far and required per your contract. Sometimes had to take a day off of working for this Not every office location had same values/culture so you could get stuck at a not so good one and won't know it right way Low pay for the amount of work you do Specialists. Seen some doctors never doing an RCT ever. You could forget how to do one... GED upper management telling you what to do not a doctor. That was offensive. Company culture of favortism

Pros

I wish I could think of even one.

Cons

Lies and broken promises, constantly getting moved from office to office, no work life balance. Pay is low for the number of hours you're expected to work. Confusing and mixed messages depending on who you're talking to.
