      Hell on earth!!!

      Pros

      There will always be job openings due to the high turnover rate. If they don't have a good reason to let you go... threy will make one up. Owner doctors are just puppets. There is NO LOYALTY!!!

      Cons

      Pacific Dental Services has lowered hygiene pay $14.00. Several of my fellow hygienists are looking to leave the company. Because they are being illegally pressured to sign a new compensation contract. Your job will always be one reason away from being terminated. High pressure to sell. Treatment is being diagnosed by front office personal. Who are not licensed clinicians and these non-licensed individuals feel that they are the ones that gave the providers their licenses. If you don't just shut up and get abused. You will be terminated. Silent, abused, slaves need only apply. The company says they believe in your future and loyalty... but that never actually takes place. If you don't believe me look up job openings for PDS. They are always hiring hygienists and assistants because they are always firing hygienists and assistants.

      My time with Pacific Dental

      Pros

      It is not a chain of successful dental practices for no reason for they do know how to build productive offices. I do differ with their methods, but I do know they have high expenses.

      Cons

      I was part-time filling in for a dentist on maturity leave. My cons are: 1. Patients become a number and a dentist is judged by how much he can produce 2, It is difficult to build a personal practice that ultimately becomes productive because Management dampens it. I know how to build a practice for I owned one in Riverside for 20 years.

      Good for the Resume, Bad for the Soul

      Pros

      Met some pretty cool people. Lots of training available, which helps build resume for future jobs for when you're beaten and torn down by this company.

      Cons

      Greed. It's all sales. There is a "culture set by CEO that is not followed through. A lot of community service and outreach programs to make them feel better about what they do to patients. A lot of practices that go against my morals....
