Pros

Great parties. Some fun people and great technology. Interesting space to work in and plenty of money to get new equipment.

Cons

Constant turn-over. Staffing up teams just to lay most of them off again. Little regard for doing things the right way. Very demoralizing.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that you had a negative experience at PEAK6. We strive to create an environment where every employee is empowered to share their ideas and be a part of key work efforts. Our hope is that our employees are able to benefit from that environment. In our fast-paced world, this aspect of our culture can get overlooked, which we regret if that’s what you experienced. If you have time, I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on how we can improve and any actions we should take. Feel free to email me at any time at bgoldberg@peak6.com. Thanks, Brad

Pros

I think that the collaborative culture, and the fact that everyone there is so nice makes PEAK6 a great place to work. Also the work was incredibly intellectually engaging.

Cons

The only cons I can think of would be that the office was far from where I lived, and the commute was a pain.

Sad place, fading culture

Pros

* Office space is very nice * Decent snacks and other goodies * Gym in building

Cons

There is something to be sad about sports teams that win multiple championships. These teams work so well together from the top down that their hard efforts continuously pay off. This is known as chemistry and they become known as dynasties and will forever be remembered! I make this analogy to point out how far Peak6's culture has deviated from this point! Most people tend to build relationships at their work place. This drives enthusiasm and makes working on projects extremely gratifying. To have a great culture, the people have to respect the coach, aka your leadership! I feel that the current leaders have been bullying people around for so long that they drive the best right out the door. Most importantly, they drive them straight to the competition! This puts unnecessary damage on the remaining team and chemistry dwindles away.
