Pros

Smart people, excellent vacation package in terms of # of days, decent pay if you ask for it, opportunities to travel

Cons

Disjointed communication between London and US offices (Hong Kong office may as well not exist), Too many cooks in the kitchen in editorial, General air of arrogance and mistrust from the London editors and management is unacceptable

Pros

- Finishing at 5pm on a Friday (although in my current place we finish at 4pm, so doesn't seem like such a pro now). - Offices are new, so desk, chairs etc are all in good working order

Cons

- Not flexible, the work that the majority of teams do does not need to be done between 9am - 5.30pm, however the whole work force seems strict about this. I found it completely bizarre, I came from an organisation where you could choose to work any hours you wanted between 7.30am - 7pm. It feels at PEI staff are not trusted to work flexible hours or work from home, it seemed like a big deal if you asked to work from home. - The office is set up as hot desking, but most teams do not seem to hot desk. The office also has no personality, just lines and lines of desks. - The pay isn't great, and commission is not monthly.
