Pros
Since coming to PennyMac I have been blown away at the growth and empowerment Ive experienced. Beginning with little experience I was quickly brought up to speed and exposed to many facets of the industry I had never experienced. The fast paced work environment rewards commitment and resolve, and you can quickly grow your career so long as you're willing to do the work and have the conversations. The managers I work with are experienced, knowledgeable, and incredibly hardworking which makes a world of difference in the day to day. Culture as well as Diversity/Inclusion are taken very seriously by the company, whether its gift baskets, holiday gifts, food trucks, ice cream socials, or activities such as trivia, vision boards, and toy drives - there is always something going on at PennyMac. The company has endless roles or departments or channels to work in, so you will always find a fit for you and your talents.
Cons
Raises and promotions are done during scheduled times, as well as rules regarding how much percentage of a raise you can receive during a given time period. Its very difficult (not impossible) to get anything "off cycle" or to receive sizable raises.
