Toxic, Nepotism, Horrible

Pros

On-site cafeteria and gym. There are some cool people working here, but your common hate for your management isn't a healthy environment enough to stay.

Cons

Nepotism runs rampant. Managers in the tax department sleep around with each other and hire and promote their friends from past employers. Everyone higher up is related to someone either by blood or marriage. The Nepotism is horrendous and the vibe is very high school clique. "Yes" people get promoted yet complain about their management. Management makes up their own way of how things should be processed without consulting the actual employees doing the work. The company is a joke and human resources does nothing to investigate the horrible management even when entire departments quit. Toxic environment and raises are not given unless you are promoted and are friends with management. Managers also let the friends they hired take 2 hour lunches and give them minimal work.

Pros

No benefits that I can think of.

Cons

Very abusive and toxic workplace. I have never been so humiliated and abused/harassed in a workplace like this one. I am still experiencing the trauma/aftermath due to my bad experience here. HR is a joke and has no power.

We're very troubled by your comments. Pennymac has a zero tolerance policy of workplace harassment and/or bullying. Department directors are always available to help team members. Employees can also call our confidential hotline, managed by a third-party, to report any adverse behavior.

Pros

Pay is decent some roles working from home

Cons

Forced 10 hour days, 6 day work weeks Micromanaged down to the minute Impossible to contact supervisors and managers even during work hours, but will text you at 10pm with questions Instead of hiring new people, you will just get your workload quadrupled. Training, when it happens, is a joke, and if you pay attention- you'll be the one re-training team members because managers and supervisors don't care No raises or bonuses even if you're doing the work of 5 team members
