Attempts at HQ to manage vastly differing private Golf Clubs using the same business model. example: In an effort to create additional value and drive member retention by "investing" dollars in cost increasing programs, senior level management either failed to anticipate the effect of such programs to NOI, or failed to view these programs as an investment. A sense of panic resulted instead, with adjustments made by backpeddling and cutting key employees from payroll to make ends "meet". A tough lesson.
