Pros

I haven’t been with the company for very long, but I’ve always been a very good judge of character, and not just of people but really anyone and anything. So although I’m sure most people wait a year or two to post reviews, I wanted to do one now because I already feel like I have a very good sense of what kind of company Promotion in Motion is. First, they’re the kind of company that keeps promises. Every single thing I was “promised” during the interview process was included in my contract and has materialized. Even some things that were just mentioned in passing that could have easily been seen as “off the shoulder” comments were followed up on within my first few weeks at the company. It blew me away. You rarely see that level of follow through in a corporate setting nowadays. Second, PIM is the kind of company that puts the health and safety of its employees above all else. No one in a position of power ever belittled or minimized the situation with COVID and the entire company has been following all of the CDC’s guidelines to keep everyone safe. Mask wearing. Social distancing. The whole 9 yards. Third, PIM is the kind of company that values its employees fairly. Negotiating my salary during the interview process involved a lot less actual negotiations than I’ve experienced at other companies. I laid out my arguments and indicated clear concrete examples of the value I could bring the company, and when my experience, resume, and references spoke to the truth of what I was saying, my manager agreed that the amount I’d given was fair and what I was worth. Working at a company where you don’t have to fight for every penny you earn is a huge game changer. I could go on, but I don’t think anyone on here wants to read an essay. Instead, I’ll leave you with these three concrete examples of why after such a short period of time I have a very high opinion of PIM as an employer.

Cons

I don’t believe there’s such a thing as the “perfect job” and there definitely isn’t a perfect company. Any experience is what you make it. If it’s the right fit for you, you’ll know. If not, be open to continuing your job search until you find a better fit.
