Pros

Supportive of Learning new technologies and Integrate them into existing applications. Advanced ML and AI capabilities are in place to migrate applications. Work-Life balance is okay.

Cons

Unprofessional Work ethics. Low to Below average range Salary standards. Discrimination of employees based on their family members in India. HR standards needs to be improved for Non-immigrant employees and H-1B visa holders.

Pros

They just started the trading analyst program and it's the most direct route to portfolio management at PIMCO. Great program that previous cohorts did not have the opportunity to do. Very large player in the field meaning they get the best rates and market insights from brokers and have sell-side constantly at their beck and call. Great culture, though pretty corporate as they are so large.

Cons

Compensation is lower than you would find for similar discretionary macro trading roles at hedge funds.
