-If you are coming here out of undergrad for a product role be wary. You are not in a risk-taking or investment role. The exit opportunities are limited and business school will be necessary to pivot. (Ignore if in RE or private credit teams) -Post MBA's and seniors are treated like gods and pay is reflective of that, very topside heavy. -Little to no internal transferring, once you're on a team you're stuck with them unless you try to recruit. They will parade around a PM who "transferred" but in reality, it took him over a decade and an MBA to get put into a portfolio associate role.

Very competitive and intense environment. Not great for work life balance. Very intense, never slows down, and no one hesitates to demand everything you can give, even at the expense of your family and personal life. Senior level execs all need a staff to manage their lives/kids.
