Pros

None at this moment, the office closed because it wasn't making enough money / poor management.

Cons

I quit my job to take a position at this office in Seattle. 2 months in, they closed down the office. What does that say about the company?

Thanks for your review. Unfortunately, PLS closed our Seattle office due to unforeseen reasons and lack of alignment with the long-term strategy for growth. If you'd like to further report your cons please reach out to publicrelations@plslogistics.com

Pros

1. Culture- The culture and the company's training and development are my biggest pros. The balance between enjoying work and working hard at the St. Louis office is makes it an ideal place to build a career with. The office manager really sets this in motion and it was obvious that it trickles down with everyone else. 2. Training- I didn't have a strong understanding of the 3PL and Freight industry before PLS's training. PLS uses a multi-prong approach: class room, experiential, and mentoring to teach their trainees everything they need to know about the industry before they start talking with customers and carriers. That helped alot. 3. Opportunities to Grow- I could see that PLS is a company that values promoting from within. I noticed that they emphasized positions in other parts of the company to current PLS employees.

Cons

The freight industry starts a little earlier than the traditional 9-5.

Pros

PLS offices vary from location to location - St. Louis one is probably one of the best to work at. Good starting pay, lots of support, the satellite office manager in St. Louis (Justin Feroce) is probably one of the best managers I've had. He's super helpful, motivating, personable and professional. The reason why the St. Louis office is such a pleasant place to be (it's also become extremely successful) is because of the leadership of Justin. The senior logistics coordinator, Ross Van Allen is also a great addition there - he is extremely helpful and takes time to educate Account Executives - he's extremely knowledgeable, very helpful and professional as well.

Cons

Health Insurance can be better, credit limit rules - a necessary evil so the company doesn't go bankrupt, having too many cheap customers in the market, customers that don't pay their bills on time. Also the technology (PLS Pro website) for customers and employees needs to be more sophisticated and advanced.
