Pros

PLS is a great place to learn a lot of good skills and develop some major soft skills that will be important down the road.

Cons

Favoritism is HUGE here. Hitting your sales quotas is more about who likes you. The accounts of people who left are handed out to account executives at the managers' discretion.

Plenty of opportunity - but you have to work for it

Pros

The work environment is great, hard work and success are always promptly rewarded, and there's a lot of internal promotion. Especially for Account Executive Trainees - the sky's the limit.

Cons

Managers are supportive, but certainly won't coddle you. They expect you to be independent and not be afraid to make mistakes. Many people can't handle or don't understand this.

Pros

You can learn the basics of sales, and if your lucky enough to survive you can live off the corpses of your other fellow employee's

Cons

for only 20% commission (if you ever roll out) you would think that other departments would be well taken care of considering the other 80% is supposed to be paying the them right? you would be wrong, our back half is awful even if you do win customers in this over saturated market your libel to get screwed when other offices cant do their job. Its likely not their fault either, they are understaffed and most of them are from ukraine, so what ends up happening is you spend half your day fixing the problems of customer and freight in the past rather than spending all your time on current things... half the reason you can keep people here. Doesn't help i saw the mass Email for 10 years in the company and all they got was a $250 gift card to the company clothing shop, what a joke at that point don't give us anything.
