Pros

2 week Industry Training is provided. Management is available to help with issues that arise. Lots of freedom to specialize in transportation that interest you. Effort is directly proportional to success. Strong job security for those who make it through the 1.5yr training. Lots of transfer options into other departments. 3 Months with a mentor is provided to learn the operations of the business. Support is available.

Cons

it takes a LOT of effort to be successful and sometimes a little luck. It's a sales job, you'll cold call businesses, get over it, it's not that hard. The first year is extremely difficult to succeed on a standard 40hr work week schedule. The first year is 60-80hrs a week include outside work research and preparation.

Pros

People are friendly and you can meet people your own age Logistics is an interesting industry, but 3PL is not the stress You will learn about many different places in the U.S and Canada via Google maps

Cons

Extremely high employee turnover Immature environment and management is obsessed with sports which is a huge distraction. Definitely a "bro" environment (there are even football graphics on the wall...) Not that I don't like sports, but it was a little bit overwhelming Hard work for little gain Not professional. Some employees do not even have college degrees Dead-end job Favoritism and clicks Insufficient training that does not give you the tools you need to succeed Saturated industry Cold calling and long after hours (you will even need to work on weekends in order to meet the sales quota) 80% of trainees will be out of a job within 6 months Definitely sucks if you relocated for this job to a city that you don't really like and then be out of a job 6 months later

Pros

Young and energetic company Ping Pong, air hockey, basket ball, putting green, and other fun activities to wind down Fun corporate events Management is extremely helpful Training was quick and simple, they let you get on the floor to get practical training. Attractive compensation plan and benefits Rapid expansion, hiring managers from within The harder you work the better your chance of making it! It's up to you!

Cons

Long hours, but time passes by quickly Quotas can be challenging to reach, but anything good is worth the effort
