- Salary very low for grads
- No real benefits (no subsidised lunch, no free snacks etc in office bar a coffee machine, holidays v low at essentially 17 as 4 days have to be taken when the office is closed)
- No real opportunity to explore or understand
other disciplines
- Grad programme focused on soft skills rather than the technical side which you kind of really need to be able to actually do your job
- Very strict working from office culture for grads but not at all for SMEs so quite pointless
- No real support for grads when out on secondment
- Nearly all grads leave either before programme ends or as soon as
- Because of huge leaving rate of grads, the office is quite an older crowd and so there’s no one to bridge the gap between older engineers and grads making it sort of 2 separate teams, makes it hard for grads to have someone to ask the simple questions to.
- Inclusivity and diversity training is ironically kept to just grads when really the old boys club culture of the office is who’s really in need.
- Very outdated systems used
