Disappointing

Pros

Currently only pros are location and "flexible" working hours

Cons

Lack of decision making/leadership - almost chaotic at times Cultural issues with a distinct almost class like system between support people and "valuable" people. Notable differences between facilities available between both Irish offices. Champagne taste withe Beer bottle budget - a lot of double jobbing/expansive roles. Promotions appear to happen on length of service rather than abilities.

Good on CV, not great in reality

Pros

- Opportunities to do secondments in other companies - A few opportunities travel (small for grads but could get lucky)

Cons

- Salary very low for grads - No real benefits (no subsidised lunch, no free snacks etc in office bar a coffee machine, holidays v low at essentially 17 as 4 days have to be taken when the office is closed) - No real opportunity to explore or understand other disciplines - Grad programme focused on soft skills rather than the technical side which you kind of really need to be able to actually do your job - Very strict working from office culture for grads but not at all for SMEs so quite pointless - No real support for grads when out on secondment - Nearly all grads leave either before programme ends or as soon as - Because of huge leaving rate of grads, the office is quite an older crowd and so there’s no one to bridge the gap between older engineers and grads making it sort of 2 separate teams, makes it hard for grads to have someone to ask the simple questions to. - Inclusivity and diversity training is ironically kept to just grads when really the old boys club culture of the office is who’s really in need. - Very outdated systems used

Toxic!!

Pros

None. The pay does not make up for the horrible culture.

Cons

Toxic, horrible environment! Very clicky, bullying and favoritism. Management are very secretive and then drop everything on you at the last minute, then change their minds again and again. People related to management get special treatment. Some contractors are getting special “favors” under the table. Anything raised about something questionable will get swept under the rug, and then the person will be bullied into keeping quiet. Management are constantly making racist / sexual jokes and makes it very uncomfortable to listen to all day long. Frat boy mindset. Rotten place to work.
