Pros

PNC was a place filled with talented, respectful people. The opportunites of advancement were clear and evident as I was surrounded by people who were promted a number of times in a short period. The respect level was high no matter how high you went up in senior management. I had the opportunity to meet everyone from branch managers to Jim Rohr himself and I did not feel looked down upon by anyone in the company. The company provided all the tools needed to succeed in your job along with an infinite amount of support. When/if ever you struggled in any part of your job, someone was always there to lend a helping hand and provide encouragement. Overall a great place to start, and even end your professional career.

Cons

Unfortunately PNC's systems were very slow and felt clumsy. Opening new accounts or servicing existing ones were sometimes long and tedious processes, depending on how their Genesis program was working that day. Sometimes when there was a rush of customers in the morning, Genesis would crash and delay work tremendously. It seemed this was a pretty common occurrence throughout the company that hasn't been fully dealt with for a decently long period of time.

Pros

The parent company, PNC Inc., is a very stable, conservative company with solid leadership at the CEO and President positions. There is a good mix of employees across the different locations within the company with senior management having been in place for many years with great experience.

Cons

Growth potential can sometimes be stagnant without a lot of opportunity unless someone leaves the company or retires all together. As is always the case with a large Corporation, office politics can sometimes be a burden and make an employee feel like they are just a piece of the cog and nothing more.

Pros

If you are just out of college (any college really), then this is the perfect place to work because they'll hire anyone. The work is very easy and provides no challenge. If you are the type that wants to be an a social environment then this is i because it's very laid-back, If you are looking to quickly advance in your career and great pay, then this is probably not the best place to work.

Cons

The work is completely mindless and the some clients are rude (but you get that everywhere). As a new worker, you get paid barely anything. There's not a good support system here. It depends on if you luck into having friendly co-workers who will explain things to you.
