HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK

Business Outlook

Pros

Jeans on Friday--Plenty of parking spots.

Cons

One of the worst pay plans available. Best Year last year for the company--how do they reward the hard work--cut your pay almost in half. Talk about wanting to be one of the best companies in Florida--WOW-- never going to happen. Always talking about how you can lose your job--it's a fantastic feeling being threatened daily. Everyone is looking for new jobs.

No work life balance

Pros

Prior to Pods Corp taking over our franchise it was a good place to work. Once Corp took over it all went down hill fast.

Cons

Overworked, not enough employees to get the job done. Upper management does not value/appreciate mid-management you're expected to work 7 days a week. No support, from anyone that includes HR. New regional does not know anything about the transportation business or how to treat his management team / employees. I worked for Pods for almost 6 years as a Market Manager and the last 7 months working for Pods was unbearable. I had to resign.

Pros

Decent pay, met some cool people.

Cons

Mandatory overttime in the summer (if you can't handle the call volume then the call center isn't staffed properly. ) No job security, the company fired over 200 people immediately after the busy season was over in 2016. They cited performance and not enough sales, but the day before I got fired I had 1 sale away from being on the top 5 of the day. Before that I was getting around 10 a day which should of been fine. After doing the math, I made the company around $1m during my time on the phones over 1 year. They would monitor adherence like crazy. I would generally have a GRAND total of 6 min a day of bathroom time during an 8 hour shift and the next day have a paper with those times highlighted and told to improve.
