Pros

Great benefits, salaries, bonuses, and profit sharing. Flexible hours in summer.

Cons

Culture can be very siloed/ cliquey. Foundation asks to support somewhere in Africa, not a lot of local HQ support it seems like.

We’re glad those stood out to you — we take pride in offering a strong total rewards package and work-life balance that supports our team members. Pros

Very good schedule and pay. There were very good and kind engineers to work with.

Cons

The professionalism from the supervisor was not there. When working on the burner for dry grain at plant shut down. Air monitors where alarming and we were ordered to go back in and get the work done. On the same task we were asking about were to ty off for our safety harness. Supervisor snaped quit being a baby we need the harness on if we have to pull you out. Having no ware to ty off. On another job with new construction, you can't use machinery to put cross braces weighing ruff easement 500 lb. 19ft tall we had to manhandle, to an upright position. I told the supervisor the conveyer was 4ft to long two months before. I was told I was measuring wrong. When we got it up the dry grain would miss the trailers. They then had to make another shoot to kick the grain back 4ft in order to load the trucks.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you valued the schedule, pay, and the opportunity to work alongside supportive engineers. We are, however, very concerned about the safety issues you described. At POET, the safety of our team members is our highest priority, and the situation you outlined does not reflect the environment we strive to provide. While we cannot discuss individual cases publicly, please know that we take feedback like this seriously and continue to review and reinforce our safety protocols, training, and leadership accountability. We truly appreciate the work you contributed during your time with POET and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
