Pros

The people here at Poet are unlike any other company I have ever worked at. We all work together extremely hard to help leave an impact on the future of this planet. Through ethanol, animal feed, and all of the different co-products, it is truly awesome to see that we are really making a difference.

Cons

No one day is the same! If that is not your style of work, this is not the place for you. Personally, I love having a different challenge to tackle every day.

Company tries to look out for their employees, has allot of programs in place that are nice like gym incentives, profit sharing, value sharing, and decent PTO program.

Cons

If you are not in the GMs clique it doesn't matter how hard you work or what you do because any one of them will use you as a scapegoat to save their image. It is amazing being terminated and feeling a sigh of relief, sad to leave the company but happy to get away from an abusive dangerously incompetent management team. I made a power point to bring light to what was happening as suggested by my plant manager who was worried they were using me as a scape goat and was fired 2 weeks later.
