Pros

You can wear jeans to work.

Cons

They are stuck somewhere between the 1950s and 1970s. In Idaho, no less. Incredibly poor (/non competitive) benefits. Poor vacation accrual, very poor medical and dental coverage, and they're very adverse to working from home.

Pros

I enjoyed my time at Power Engineers. The company is owned and controlled by a select few employees (must be Invited to be a share holder). The people I worked with were great.

Cons

Management leaned toward 'Politically Motivated'. Advancement does not happen unless you are accepted by management. Little company trying to be a big company - leading to growing pains. Making money is more important to management than their employees. Will eliminate employees on a whim.

Pros

Well established market share with several power utilities in North America and worldwide

Cons

Entrenched management in a monopoly environment. Slow to implement change. Anti-union sentiment. Inability to adapt to highly regulated environments.
