department management. Lack of training. Comment from my current department manager when I called out and was eventually admitted to ICU “What’s the status of this? You were looking for work and it was hard enough to find this work for you.” The pay is well below industry standards. The culture used to make up for it but not anymore. Engineers are no longer trained to properly mark up drawings and drafters are blamed for lack of quality. Department manager requires people to come in office for training.
