Employee owned changed to privately owned. Owners got $, leaders got retention bonuses, the rest got nothing. Feels like a pay cut now due to less PTO/Sick time and no bonuses. Medical is through Aetna.

The company was recently acquired by a much larger engineering firm. All the pros I listed are evaporating. The incoming company promised everyone had a place in the new company. They've started doing rounds of layoffs already with no severance package. The benefits with the new company are significantly worse and much more expensive. We aren't receiving compensation to help offset the increased costs even though we were promised we wouldn't lose any compensation or benefits. Prior to the acquisition, this would've been a 5-start review with almost no cons.
