Pros

Good technical company with great finance skills and a growing acknowledgement of the importance of sales excellence. People who deliver results will get the opportunity to move up. The company is very ethical. Training is good: HR works hard to identify good outside training opportunities and to develop good internal ones.

Cons

The company has multiple business units and each operates a lot like a separate company - there are some silo issues. Cross-business unit (XSBU) selling effort was a great idea, but was met with lukewarm interest by many managers. There are limited opportunities (beyond the superstars and beyond the Pittsburgh area) to take on challenges in different SBU's.
