Pros

Great established company steeped in tradition and generations of success. Lots of room for growth.

Cons

Not a great place for 6 digit sales jobs. All roads eventually lead to Pittsburgh, or worse yet in AC, Louisville. AC is the red headed stepchild of PPG and is not treated the same as if you were in a different SBU, mostly due to larger number of reps. Don't even consider working for the Lowes division unless you have little ambition and enjoy working in a bib box.

Pros

My coworkers are very friendly and extremely hardworking. We feel like family. The benefits are okay, and I personally like the kind of work we do.

Cons

We are never thanked for a job well done, and in fact are always talked down to and treated like children. We're only allowed to clock out when dismissed. We are used to scrub the production floor or to do tasks no-one else wants to do. Mandatory over-time is understandable at times but gets used far too much. Especially when most of the employees are willing to put in over-time voluntarily. There are also obvious favorites, that are allowed to do almost anything, such as chew gum, whereas, someone else may be written up for it. In other words, there's no consistency.
