      Decent co-workers but awful corporate management

      Pros

      Better hours than most retail jobs No cold call or pushy sales methods Mostly indoor work They were hiring when I needed a job

      Cons

      Horrible management, esp. at regional & corporate level Always overworked and understaffed No set training guidelines, have to "figure it out" for yourself No teamwork Unbelievably high turnover

      Pros

      Employees are treated with respect and given the opportunity to run their territories with autonomy. Expectations are reasonable and the required hours, while long at times during the year are well balanced with the salary.

      Cons

      At times the leadership and performance review functions at PPG are extremely lax. There is a very organized means of performance review but it is not policed or used by management. In my years with the company we discussed my performance review and improvement plan only once, and then for only 1/2 an hour.
