Pros

50% commission, they charge high prices and direct deposit

Cons

Use cheap hair products. Very cheap client capes and terrible perms. Lots of Paul Mitchell products and takes a long time to get orders so you run out often and can’t do the service. They are always hiring because employees don’t stay. Management is laughable and they hire managers that have no experience minding others.

Pros

You don't work nights or weekends.

Cons

Stylist only make 50% commission on low prices. No benefits for stylist. Little tips. Only 1 to 2 days a week to work. You have to go through Alzhemers and dementia traning. Some days you work in memory care units which make you feel more like a nurse then a stylist. They offer no training on how to shampoo people in wheelchairs, they throw you in the salon and you work alone with no assistance. They expect you to go through old paper authorization forms in order to book your appointments. Expect to do about 5 people a day. District leader is expected to drive 30, 40, 60 minutes to different communities sometimes more than once in the same day. They offer no compensation for gas. You will put a lot of miles and wear and tear on your car. Technology is so bad it's embarrassing. Days you are behind the chair they expect you to do all the manager duties for no management pay. They expect you to be in constant contact with the staff at the communities through email and phone calls. They even conect your phone to a phone number they assign to you so these communities, residents or family of residents can contact you directly. Showing another way they are cheap. Constant mistakes by payroll and when you inform them of the mistakes you have to wait till your next paycheck to receive your money. All black dresscode adds to how depressing the environment is. Don't believe what they promise because they constantly change what they originally told you. They expect you to stay until 5 when the salon closes at 2 or 3. Meaning no commission meaning making you stay for no pay. The district leader before me only lasted a month. They offered me district leader after 1 month as a stylist. I only last 2 weeks before quitting. They expect a lot from you and don't want to pay you for it.
