Pros

The people at PSA genuinely care about each other, and there’s a strong sense of community that makes it feel like more than just a workplace. The flight benefits are a huge perk, and the health benefits are solid, with several affordable plan options. The new office space is modern, comfortable, and a big upgrade. On top of that, my direct leadership and team is truly supportive, communicative, and great to work with.

Cons

Pay for individual contributors can lag behind the market, especially when compared to external hires coming into similar roles. Projects and decisions often move slowly due to long approval chains, which can be frustrating and impact efficiency. High performers are frequently asked to take on extra work outside their job scope, which isn’t always recognized or balanced out elsewhere.

Pros

My experience at PSA Airlines has been both professionally transformative and deeply rewarding. The organization provides a structured, supportive environment that empowers new flight attendants to succeed during one of the most challenging phases of their career. Reaching my 90‑day milestone reinforced not only my commitment to the role but also my appreciation for the investment American Airlines and PSA have made in my development. PSA’s training program is thorough, intentional, and aligned with the operational realities of regional aviation. Expectations are clearly defined, and new hires receive the guidance necessary to transition confidently into line operations. The culture at PSA is one of collaboration, mentorship, and genuine care. Senior flight attendants and instructors consistently demonstrate professionalism and compassion, creating an environment where new hires feel supported and valued. The role offers meaningful daily engagement with passengers, even during IROP periods or reduced rest. I take pride in representing the American Airlines brand and contributing to a safe, positive travel experience. PSA encourages continuous improvement and self‑reflection. The company’s investment in its employees is evident, and I am motivated to deliver a strong return on that investment through my performance, professionalism, and dedication. Approach this role with resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to grow. Celebrate milestones, lean into the support PSA offers, and remain focused on your long‑term goals. Success in this position is earned through dedication and professionalism, and PSA provides a strong foundation for those ready to embrace the journey. I am grateful for the investment American Airlines and PSA Airlines have made in my development. This role has challenged me, strengthened me, and inspired me to think about the legacy I want to leave within the organization. I look forward to continuing my growth and contributing meaningfully to PSA’s operational excellence and customer experience standards.

Cons

The reserve phase is demanding and requires adaptability, discipline, and strong time‑management skills. While challenging, it has strengthened my resilience and operational readiness. Friends and family often struggle to understand the unique lifestyle and early challenges of aviation, making personal boundaries essential for maintaining focus and morale.
