Pros

It is rather easy to set a schedule around your own personal responsibilities. Setting your own hours is always a plus, also being able to help individuals that need companionship or minor help is a very fulfilling work.

Cons

If you are looking for a full time job with benefits then this area of work is not it. You get paid minimum wage and usually not a lot of hours are allotted per individual.
