Pros

Great benefits package. If you do your job more than the minimum possible, you will receive a pay raise and additional bonus. The Life Division supervisors and management at the Omaha office are easy to approach and always willing to help. Opportunities for further education and rewards are available. Environment was accepting and warm. The Director and Supervisors encourage employees to provide feedback and to question processes in order to improve efficiency.

Cons

My experience dealing with sales managers from field/district offices was not as pleasant. They seem to disregard the employees who run the operations and are completely unapproachable. Opportunities for advancement are slim.

Pros

The benefits are great and the people are nice. They have the systems in place and are pretty clear on what their expectations are from their employees. They have a great reputation and nurture the company's image.

Cons

It seems that they are taking less value in their employees. Being the only home office primarily located in CA they get away with paying people less and expecting more. With the current economic state they know people are not in a position to go elsewhere so easily and if they lose people there are a great number of candidates in the pool to choose from and bring in for less money. There is little opportunity for growth and merit increases are diplomatically given to everyone. In other words, those that work hard are equally rewarded as those that simply give as little as possible. It makes it so obvious we are all just numbers and not people to them.

Pros

The company's philosophy and effort towards helping their employees achieve, far better than some companies I've had experience with. Great compensation package.

Cons

Complexities in organizational structure and operations; distance between the corporate office and remote location was possibly problematic to cohesion and establishing business relationships accross the enterprise and between groups.
