Pros

Great benefits and great team members!

Cons

The Return to Office policy is driving away one of our talented team members. Blindsided by reorgs. No polls done to determine what is best for our team.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and for recognizing the strength of your team and our benefits. Our in-office approach is designed to support collaboration and connection across teams, while still offering flexibility through one remote workday per week, along with our flexible workdays benefit, which allows for additional remote days throughout the year. Feedback like yours helps us continue learning how this is experienced day-to-day across different roles and teams. We appreciate you taking the time to share.

Pros

Cool office location in Newport beach

Cons

Tough/impossible to climb the ladder if you are not an actuary. Told them I had cancer and was laid off a few months later.

Pros

Some departments are very cushy and work without any sense of urgency. They can take advantage of the benefits offered; in-house training opportunities, participating in games to win $ and extra days off. These are the departments you want to work in.

Cons

The company is seriously understaffed in the departments that actually produce (CustomerService and New Business). They just can’t hold onto good people. On the other hand, there are a plethora of recently hired manager level employees who do not understand the business and act as road blocks for any improvements to working conditions. The outsourcing of jobs to India resulted in a brain drain in many areas. Significantly IT as the people who developed the systems were laid off, apparently without training their replacements. No one seems to have an understanding of how anything works. Simple data requests take weeks and when finally completed are incorrect.
