Pros
The management team was nice. They had an open door policy and were approachable. The pay was ok for the job buy it should be much higher. The initial cup operator training was good especially working with the more seasoned veteran employees.
Cons
OT becomes all of the time. There was no such thing as a work life balance. Many employees cut corners on servicing machines. Management expects for you to service one machine and keep the other three simultaneously running. This is a paper cup making operation for many of the major fast food restaurants in the US and Canada. Preventive maintenance seems to be routinely performed but some of the machines are constantly troublesome or down. Management does not want to hear about what needs to be fixed and that goes double for busada jams and the constant pro lems with the case packers. If those go down... you're cup machine and production schedule will go down. There is no incentive to be a good productive worker. There were no bonuses nor other incentives. Ideally they just want to work you to death.
