Pros

- Great differentiated product that consumers love - very high net promoter score. I don't know of any other company that can provide consumers an experience that feels like they have a doctor as a family member. - High usage volume whereas most digital health companies struggle with getting traction. - Leadership upgrade: the company is bringing leaders with great experience. The management is making changes throughout the company - Good outlook: while other companies announce layoffs Pager is growing and recently acquired another company. I can see how the two companies can combine their products and create great consumer experience.

Cons

- there is a lot of changes throughout the company. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming - Customers are very engaged and request a lot of new features. Sometimes, it's not clear if these are the features that will lead us to our vision the fastest or if we should be working on something else - We have two versions of the platform that we need to support. Until we migrate all customers to one platform, engineering will not be as efficient as it can be

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are proud of our net promoter score and attribute that to our incredible team. As we expand the company we will focus on supporting a great work environment, a diverse and inclusive culture, and strong product offerings for our members. We have made changes and ultimately are making those changes to transition into what we believe is the next phase of our growth. Please don’t hesitate to connect with your Manager and our PeopleOps team with any concerns.

Pros

Pager has some of the best people. Amazing culture of collaboration and innovation. Great work/life balance. Front-line engineering managers are great people who actually care about their direct reports.

Cons

Salaries are not competitive at all unless you live in an area with a low cost of living. Frustrating lack of transparency under the guise of being transparent. Feels like you’re being lied to or not given the entire story. Extremely frustrating lack of clear direction from senior engineering leadership. They make huge, sweeping changes in org structure without having a clear plan of transition first, and the ICs and middle managers are left to pick up the pieces.
