Thank you for sharing your feedback! We are happy to hear that you enjoy the culture, colleagues and your work-life balance. It’s something we strive hard for and its wonderful employees (like you!) who make Pager a great place to work! We also appreciate your feedback on areas where we can improve. The good news is we’ve stepped up our hiring in recent months to bolster our teams and better support Pager’s growth initiatives. Furthermore, the recent additions of healthcare technology veterans in key leadership positions should also improve our transparency and communications. Please feel free to talk with our Leaders and/or our People Operations teams if you have ideas on how we may improve.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on Pager. Our mission begins and ends with our patients, and our team of nurses and care coordinators are on the frontlines taking care of them every single day. Without you, there is no Pager! We’re happy to hear that you’d recommend Pager to others, and we will further explore options to increase flexibility in scheduling. We always welcome ideas and suggestions

Nice benefits, terrible leaders

Pros

Healthcare tech is such an important industry to be in and the product itself does connect patients to care that need it in a way that makes you feel good about the work. Good snacks in the office (pre-COVID) and fun social events - they definitely don't mind opening the pocketbook for a good party. Great benefits all around.

Cons

Leadership here was incredibly immature. I witnessed executive team members yelling at each other, making fun of each other behind each other's backs, and using discriminatory language and microaggressions in both private and public spaces. Overall lots of unprofessional behavior that got chalked up to "startup culture". There was a lack of direction at multiple levels. I know several team members, including myself, who'd put a ton of work into things to just get the rug pulled out from under them because leaders had no idea which direction to drive or what they wanted. Some of this was due to the willingness to bend over backward for clients. Other times, it became clear that things were being done with no specific result or requirements in mind.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We are happy that you connected with our mission and product, and enjoyed many of the social aspects of our culture. We take feedback seriously and encourage you to reach out to our PeopleOperations to discuss further. Pager’s culture and leadership team have evolved materially since our startup and pre-COVID days. We have brought on a slate of experienced executives and managers that not only bring a wealth of healthcare and technology expertise, but have also added depth to our organizational maturity, planning and leadership. We are excited about this next step in our growth journey, and our mission to bring a “doctor in the family” concierge experience to millions of consumers around the world.
