What a disaster

Pros

Not many besides doing good work (or trying) for the environment

Cons

This company put on a masterclass is mismanagement, poor direction and pandered to DEI while consistently laying off staff. The company probably fired 75% of it's employees within 2023-2024. No one felt safe, the direction of company was constantly moving. It was an awful culture. I'd steer clear.

Pros

Good people, unlimited PTO, treated like an adult nobody micromanages you or checks in on you, you are trusted to know your job and do your job without a lot of supervision

Cons

Independent working may not be the best for everyone, not much feedback from leaders, if your not in certain departments you are basically invisible to the company and any achievements go unnoticed and unrecognized. Don’t expect raises, bonuses, any acknowledgment of holidays such as Christmas bonuses or anything even though they have a very long time consuming review process, there’s nothing you are going to achieve from those reviews. No internal growth, people who do get any upward mobility are not usually the ones who put the work in, they just seem to default into it. Say they are transparent but are not, always at risk of layoff at the whim of management and their reasons never make sense, don’t get comfortable here. Most big decisions feel chaotic and not at all thought through. Outsource everything they can, keep as little as possible internal.

Struggling with direction

Business Outlook

Pros

There are individuals in leadership who demonstrate genuine concern, and the company offers unlimited paid time off (PTO) as well as the flexibility to work remotely.

Cons

Challenges persist in the realm of leadership decisions, marked by a change in the direction of the company every 4-6 weeks. The leadership landscape undergoes quarterly shifts, introducing an element of instability. Despite the emphasis on maintaining a positive cash flow, the organization grapples with a persistent pattern of layoffs. This paradoxical scenario raises questions about the sustainability of their financial health and underscores the complexity of the operational dynamics within the company.
