Pros

Good people. Discounts. Understanding management. Lots of money and effort put into marketing Prime & busy locations Thorough stock at all times

Cons

Not fully paid mileage which is ridiculous. It ended up costing me money to do deliveries. Also, no push/pull cart therefore causing a delivery to possible take up to 25 minutes if it was large and an elevator was involved. Very inconvenient. Inconsistent support from upper management. Food is NOT fresh....... very Americanized company in terms of standards. When our minimum wage in Canada would raise Covelli had no problem telling people he wouldn't give it unless deserved. Training program is ridiculous and so unorganized?! They bring in teams from the states (who are amazing people by the way) but there's enough of these people there for one on one training and they do more standing around than anything. Not much guidance provided. Minimal pay for the what was expected. Do NOT work here if your individuality is important to you. They practically train you to be a zombie and all look the same... no visible tattoos/jewelry and everyone seems as if they are reading out of a textbook. I worked in multiple locations and experienced multiple managers; 3/4 of them were horribly disoriented and never engaged with their staff. HUGE turnover rate for all employee positions.

Pros

It's really all about the team you work with which determines whether you experience is positive. Most of the tasks they ask of you as a part-time employee are straightforward. Training program was helpful.

Cons

My location hired a large number of employees upon opening, as a result the number of shifts available were limited initially. However over time as people left the shifts became increasingly available.

Panera Bread is a horrible working environment.

Pros

They allow their employees to take home the remainder of the pastries at the end of the day.

Cons

They were extremely unprofessional- talking badly about other managers and employees in the dining room, where customers can hear them. The managers were rude to the customers at times. They kept us for long hours after our shifts ended. They wouldn't give us pay stubs: they would actually complain to us if we asked for them. In addition, all of their food is microwaved.
