Pros

Good food, decently clean cafes. The people that eat here are always happy to get their Panera fix. Positive work environment.

Cons

I was in a new cafe in an area that didn't have a Panera so people were really confused. Most of the employees didn't know how to run the registers and didn't understand the menu since there were so many different items and options. Totally understaffed for the morning shift. I was supposed to greet everyone, check them out, make drinks, and keep brewed coffee fresh for the first two opening hours. It was impossible.

Pros

I would say the pros are the coworkers, managers, and the 50 percent discount. It's all amazing but also getting to know some of the customers.

Cons

Cons would be rush hour during lunch and dinner. Another con would be there are so many drinks you need to learn how to make.

Pros

Easy to learn new skills and earn raises. Flexible hours, great part-time job during the fall/winter for students. Easy to become experienced in several skills: cashier, dish, kitchen, serving, food prep, barista. Vacation pay included in pay. Many reliable, responsible and friendly staff. Easy to reach out to head office when needed.

Cons

Customer service and strong belief in 'the customer is always right'. Some micromanagement can occur. Time and hours taken advantage of (over-time hours, not following employer's availabilities). Lots of managers being switched or transferred. While easy to earn a raise, it is hard for it to process on your paycheque (ex.: 2 week wait turns into 2 months and longer).
