      Pros

      Panera Bread was an ok place to work. The food is great and they give a good discount for food on your break time. Management was a mixed batch - some were helpful while others were condescending and rude.

      Cons

      - Minimum wage pay with no chance of raise. - Not understanding about hours needed off or course schedules. - Would not let me put in my two weeks notice, wanted me to be "on call" instead. - Unfair division of labor - some employees were required to work a lot harder/longer than others yet made the same pay.

      Pros

      Great group of employees. Co-workers try hard to be friendly and get along with one another. You can usually get your requested days off.

      Cons

      Pay sucks, not even as much as other fast-food-esque restaurants. You only get half priced meals. The portioning system sucks. I find myself easily giving people a portion and a half because one portion seems like nothing, especially considering the price.

      Pros

      Paneara has a well respected training program recognized through out the restaurant business. It's a good place to start if you have relatively little experience. Panera does give you some opportunities for growth. It also is a challenging environment to work in.

      Cons

      Low salary, and small increases lead to a lack of incentive among associates and managers alike. Lack of support from upper management in decision making and growth opportunities is also downside.
