Financial: My manager explicitly stated he/she would never grant overtime, effectively discouraging employees from wanting to work harder for more money. Upper management was just as bad. At my location we had several corporate rentals and the leasing staff was not allowed to make commissions off them, despite it being twice the work. You do not make commissions on renewals either, unlike other companies. Paradigm does not have the resources to properly treat its employees.
Management: My manager lost six employees in one year, all because they simply couldn’t stand said manager based upon his/her offensive behavior/comments. I went to upper management concerning this and ended up leaving with a write up. The managers at my location did not know how to deal, period. These people were easily overwhelmed as though two resident complaints were simply too much. Instead of trying to fix the issue, the managers would try and figure out which staff member messed up. It was so bad that residents would say ‘I don’t want to get anyone in trouble’ because the manager was mostly concerned about who to blame as opposed to fixing the issue.
Work/Life Balance: Does not exist here. If you are looking for a flexible place then this is probably not the best place for you. My location was very old school and did not cater to current trends of the job market/employee needs.
Paradigm’s training does not align with the actual practice whatsoever.
