Pros

-Generally kind coworkers, willing to take time to explain things and share knowledge when asked. Enjoyable to get to know outside of work. Lots of interests and personalities that mended well together. -Industry leader - works with the most well-known manufacturers and retailers. Some really exciting new technology and products starting to roll out to new markets. -Cares deeply about nurturing customer relationships and surveying customers and their end users to improve. Shares trends/feedback openly with staff - this goes a long way. -Growing extremely quickly, lots of new opportunities on different types of customers around the world. -Fun events (citywide scavenger hunt, holiday gala, day to day events in the office with food, drink, and puppies) to break up the day to day. -Compensation and benefits are solid. They recently increased 401k contributions and decreased the vesting period. -Pretty big into work-life balance and not taking work home, for non-management roles. Work from home was common and a non-issue as long as you got stuff done. -Engaged and approachable leaders. The CEO, CFO, Directors, and Product Owners were easy to talk to and offered help rather than assigning blame. Even though the company is growing, Nate (CEO) knows everyone's name.

Cons

-Others have mentioned - FAST growth so a steep learning curve. Not as many experts as the company needs to grow everyone's knowledge. Tough to balance work when there's such a skills gap. -Tribal knowledge tough to gain. Lots of "person x is the only person who knows y". Bigger issue for devs and consultants than PMs, but leads to some egos and having to tell customers "no". -Services never seems to be able to deliver on time. A smart bunch of people who work hard but have trouble delivering. I can't remember one project that got to the promised go-live successfully without a delay or major escalation. Really demoralizing and sets a cultural precedent. When I left, it was a company priority to figure out. -Growth has meant lots of projects on similar timelines. It often seemed like a fight to get work scheduled with the hosting team and I worried about people burning out. Seems to have gotten better just before I left. -I didn't get much feedback; self-assessed myself as failing and it wasn't until I resigned that I started hearing feedback on my performance and impact to the team.

Pros

Great culture to work in, very employee friendly. Good, smart people around you that are willing to help out new people learn as they go.

Cons

Steep learning curve if you are new to the window and door industry. Some long hours and occasional weekends if one of your clients has software issues, even if they created it.

Pros

Good if you have no real experience... Terrible if you are aware of the basics of software or are looking for a place to hide from real professionals in your field.

Cons

Too many to mention. The entire experience was terrible and its hard to put sentences to my disgust at that place, but to name a few: - Leadership hires incompetent employees in order surround themselves with a lack of understanding (relating to technology or delivery of systems) - Strange work environment. Most people there have not worked in traditional SDLC roles and they make it up as they go along. - Slow to resolve issues, but management complains about the lack of solutions being provided. - Culture is based on the friends you make and not the effectiveness of the employee. - Work is highly stressful given the nature of the software(s) - Good ideas are not listened to. Even if they would bring new revenue streams for the company. Most likely, you will get laughed at. ** This was my personal experience, and it may be different for you. Not every three star restaurant pleases every customer **
