Pros

Flexible hours for the most part, minimal amount of work, lots of events and parties

Cons

Leadership has been in their same jobs for 10+ years, very limited business knowledge, only know the MTV way to do business, entitlement at VP level, lack of respect for employees below VP level, lots of yelling and blaming, lack of integrity, take credit for others work, speak down to employees, just an awful place to work if you have any business experience at all. If it's your first job, you can probably survive, but if you have any tenure of business experience, run.

Pros

Young popular company, impressive on resume, fun culture, good experience. You can meet some really awesome people here. And the view from your desk is spectacular.

Cons

Low pay, poor management, no advancement. It takes forever to reach management. There is no advancement plan so it's basically about who you know and kissing ass to get promoted.

Pros

(1) There are still some wonderful creative people here; (2) Summer Fridays, if you can take them, are a great perk; (3) The corporate cafeteria -- the Lodge -- is better than ever

Cons

(1) Management is missing in action and unaccountable to the rank and file; (2) the lack of sound fiscal management has had a tremendously demoralizing impact on the day to day -- i.e., huge amounts of time are spent fielding angry phone calls from disgruntled vendors over inexplicable delays in payment so that Viacom can maintain its balance sheet for the Street; (3) work life balance is virtually non existent -- through layoffs and people leaving on their own, the remaining employees are on the clock for 24 hour workdays doing to 2 to 3 jobs without any acknowledgement from management about the collective sacrifices.
