Pros

Continuing Ed is paid for

Cons

- Hours are inconvenient for those who have families. More and more practices are requiring 2 nights working starting any time between 11-1pm until 8pm and I've even seen some working until 9am. Clinical people are not appreciated enough for the amount of work they do. Park Dental seems to value their resource people more when clinical team does all the work. - Not only are the hours inconvenient when it comes to working double nights, it's also inconvenient that majority of the doctors work very part time. Who wouldn't want to work less hours? But realistically, who also can make a living when you're only working 60 hours/ 2 weeks?! And the pay you get from park dental doesn't even compensate for the little hours you get. - PTO, PTO, PTO ... doctors go on vacation every month or every 2 months for weeks at a time...you are responsible to find work when they are gone or else you have to use your own PTO just because your doctor wants vacations ... personal time off, vacation time and sick days are all in one. In the past few years that I have worked with Park Dental, I have not been able to take a decent vacation because I don't have enough PTO to do so because i have to use them when I'm not even on vacation. -Maternity leave ... also relating to PTO ... when you have to use PTO for vacations, sick days and just some personal time off ... how does park dental expect for you to even have PTO to help cover for your maternity leave when they only pay 4 weeks of leave and expect for you to cover the rest ... so many coworkers I know that have had to come back to work early and lose bonding time with their newborns because they are running short of money ... and considering that about 80% of Park Dental is made up of women ... they sure don't take care of their women who work hard for park dental. -PRODUCTION! They are all about production... these people just sit at their computers and pile up patients into the schedule not knowing that us clinical people are running around ragged in the back...don't even have a break to use the bathroom or even grab a drink .... we are the first to get to the clinic and we are always the last to leave.

Pros

I cannot think of a single reason to work there.

Cons

Within my first week of working there, I was told that all scheduling managers eventually end up crying at work (and they do). We are treated like garbage by the dentists and patients alike. All blame for everything that happens at the practice is put on the scheduling managers. So many unrealistic expectations & extremely high stress environment to work in. Horrible billing system that defies logic & unnecessarily stresses out patients. No breaks, no lunch, no bonus, no raise (in 4 years). Must dress up if you work in the office and it looks dumb instead of professional.

Pros

There are some nice people working at Park Dental. The hygienists and assistants seem to care about their patients. The doctors personalities are hit or miss.

Cons

Where do I begin? POOR MANAGEMENT!! If you like coming to work and feeling STRESS then this job might be for you. Patients are always upset about billing and you can not resolve issues for them. Managers play favorites, co-workers can be catty and lazy. The pay is not enough to deal with this crap! On top of that, they want you to work Saturdays with 75 screaming children and everyone has to work 1-2 evenings until 8pm. I'm sorry, but I have never worked for a dental office that cares less about their employees.
