Pros

Continuing Education is covered by the company. Structured into teams. Set schedules. Health benefits, $1000 employee dental benefit per year, PTO, 401k (company contributes 1%).

Cons

No lunch breaks. Park Dental gets around OSHA rules by scheduling you 7 hours and 45 minutes. High stress pedo Saturdays. Bonus structure has unattainable goals. No room for advancement, if you are a scheduling manager who someday wants to be a practice manager, stop kidding yourself! They don't promote their own people, they hire from outside the company for management positions. Multiple billing issues since the company converted to Electronic records. Even when you work hard, it is never enough. Company always wants more.

Great patient care. Lots of talented individuals work at Park Dental

Cons

No opportunity for growth as a Practice Manager. The company will say they offer career advancement or additional career opportunities. There's no where to grow as a PM. No continuing education centered around your core role in the company. They offer a generic leadership conference but not aimed at true growth. Dead end career.

Co-workers are amazing.

Cons

Corporate mentality. There is a Resource Group that makes decisions for the clinics, except they pretend that they don't do that. They pride themselves in having Mentors but all they do is attend meetings and make decisions about what needs to happen in the clinic. They don't actually spend time in the clinic adding benefit. Park Dental continues to add employees to the management level and expect more work out of the clinical employees.
