Pros

large organization can easily advance carriers, nursing assistant can advance to nurse tech and there is a special student nurse program for that, nurse tech is allowed to pass medications and this is very helpful to those who continue going to school, then one can advance to nurse intern. Nurse intern has more responsibilities bule less than RN. Finally when exam is taken one becomes RN, great program!

Cons

sometimes stuffing is an issue

Pros

The pay is really good. Weekly meetings with the team are helpful. Accountability is outstanding.

Cons

The stress is unreal. Even in training! Be prepared to be flexible and patient, but efficient and accurate. This industry is constantly evolving so stay informed. They expect a lot out of you for the pay. The health benefits are laughable (2K deductible, 80.00 glasses allowance every two years. If you choose to go to an "in network" 24 hour chain pharmacy prepare to pay the price. Three maintenance meds were 96.00. The same meds filled at the hospital pharmacy, less than 10.00. Just get ther before 5:30 M-F you know, when you're working.) The team is understaffed by 50%. Asking to take time off is a joke. You have to know a year in advance what you want and if someone with seniority gets to it first you better have a backup vacation. Only three people allowed off at a time. Work from home is a luxury here, not a right. Senior management are pompous and arrogant, very poor communication skills. For a health system they're extremely Christ-y (they have a spiritual development dept). and they certainly want you to "share your calling". They tolerate minorities, but if you're of the LGBT prepare for a lot of uncomfortable interactions once they find out.

Pros

A non profit that is not a non profit- money is the only thing that matters here and they are making way too much money off of sick people

Cons

Long term employees are not valued. Experience is not valued. If you don't like it you can leave attitude. The most non not for profit I have ever worked for.
