Pros

Cool company mission, cool technology, excellent recruiting team, good pay and benefits.

Cons

Cut throat sales culture. Hyper short-term focused. No incentive to truly work as a team. You are only as valuable as what you sold this month. If you have 1 or 2 down months, you're on the chopping block. No transparency into the company's financials (ie burn rate).

Pros

The general population is really smart, kind, hard-working people. The lunch provided is a nice perk. The main office is located at Audubon Park, which makes for a nice location for walks, etc. The Path product/concept is really cool and interesting. Motivating challenges with interesting customers/industry.

Cons

It's hard to get things done. There is a persistent lack of alignment across teams, so moving projects forward is really difficult. Misaligned and disorganized leadership is the cause of this. The senior-level leaders in the organization always seem to be on different pages than one another, and they're not very visible so information travels slowly throughout teams. The senior leaders lack the ability to inform, test, and develop strategic initiatives in a disciplined way. Every few months a new strategy is announced, pivoting away from the previous one without ample time to have tested and made informed improvements from it. This also looks like moving forward on new strategies without having taken the time to think through all the potential implications. In effect, we're often scrambling to react rather / put out fires rather than operating in a proactive way. People never go to meetings, which is also why moving projects forward is difficult. It's the common culture at Path to skip a meeting, cancel a meeting at the last minute, or go lengths of time without holding a 1:1 with your manager, especially if your manager is a senior leader in the organization. It's also common across the organization that the sales teams and engineering teams do not get along. (I am on neither team, but the entire organization knows this).
