Pros

Paychex offers great initial as well as ongoing training. They have a a good name in the market so prospects feel good about using you. There is a definite need for the services that they sell. If you do a good job then you will be rewarded with plenty of incentives. There are several places you can turn to when developing referral sources.

Cons

It seems as though moving into management is the only way for a salesperson to grow professionally. If you are not wanting management there is not much room for growth. There are several divisions within the company and they are not all on the same page.

Pros

Great place to advance your career. Lots of opportunities. It's a new world out there and Paychex understands that. Very forward thinking.

Cons

It can be stressful. You need to be able to deal. If you don't have the fortitude stay home. Since they started bringing in management candidates from outside the company I've seen it cause some problems. They need to ensure they have the appropriate balance of management and technical skills in order to be successful.

Pros

Great Training good work life balance They will give you all the tools needed to be succesful. They have great benefits they make sure their managers are up to speed on all new product enhancements. They generally promote from within so the management staff is usally someone who knows the product. the senior management is also ver hands on they are always around to support the management staff. The regional in Boston is a great manager very down to earth and extremly personable with the sales staff. I have nothing positive expierinces with working with him. They spend a lot of time training youas well to make sure you are always prepared.

Cons

tend to micro manage. I have found that they want to cut the cord but it's in their nature to have constant contact with you. They give you the tools to work remotelly but seem to want you in the office everyday to do your telemarkting. Yet at the same time always give some new piece of equipment to work remotely. You can make good mony but there is a huge difference in commision between divisions and the MMS reps make a lot more money and will glom onto your clients to try to get their product sold after you did most of the work but i do have to say they are cracking down on that.
