Pros

- Most of my colleagues were genuinely good people. - The product is superior to ADP, Paychex and Ceridian - Work hard party hard mentality is fun...for a while.

Cons

- A 50K base is not unusual. If you think this is amazing, you just don't know any better. - Commission structure is incredibly weak. 10% of 1st year revenue is pretty darn pathetic when you consider how much recurring income Paycom receives. My biggest deal was about 130K and for that I received a little over 10K in income after taxes. - They make you write a Glassdoor reviews when you are new (hence all the awesome reviews) - Phone canvassing = calling the same people from the same list of companies in your territory twice a week for 8 hours trying to set up appointments. - Generally speaking HR Managers and payroll admins just want to avoid doing the extra work of a payroll implementation. They really don't want to meet with you. - Payroll implementations are done by minimally supported untrained sales reps with very little experience. - Attrition rate has to be close to 90%. - They will actually tell you that work life balance is for losers who don't want to succeed. - Aggressive recruiting tactics, they've got to keep up with attrition. - Middle management is a joke.

We take great pride in our people and software, as such, we appreciate you telling others about our product. At Paycom, we reward hard work. Our sales reps' commission grows with their life-to-date sales, so the earning potential can be substantial. The percentage you mentioned is not indicative of successful Paycom Sales Representatives. Additionally, all employee reviews are 100% voluntary. We follow Glassdoor’s best practices and ask that employees tell others about their experience, but it is never required. We understand Paycom isn't for everyone, but we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Great atmosphere, culture, and company. I have work-life balance, and I can be as involved as I choose with after work activities they offer (such as bowling league, free gym, yoga, golf club, etc). Friendly people, and opportunity for growth - I also believe that our product is awesome, and it gives me that "feel good vibe" knowing that we are helping other companies and their employees.

Cons

Only con I can think of is that we are growing so fast that there is construction on our second gym and 3rd building- I can't keep my car clean on the outside from the construction dust and Oklahoma wind!
