Too good to be true

Pros

Handful of good people work there. Bad attitudes!

Cons

Blackout dates- no employee can request any time off during the month of December and first two weeks of January. ADDITIONALLY, there are 4 blackout periods throughout the year. 4 weeks at the end and beginning of every quarter. They cross train you so you can "help" payroll work on weekends and required late nights. There's a 800 hotline number for customers to call and on top of doing your normal everyday tasks and try to even keep up with work, now you have to answer calls from pissed off clients that can't get ahold of the person they are working with on a project. Bonuses haven't been paid out in full since last summer because of client retention, even though the company is doubling in new clients every quarter.

Thank you for your feedback. It's important to us as we work to improve in all areas of our business, including Client Service. We recognize the challenges that blackout presents. It's reflective of our clients' business cycles, a bit like tax time for CPAs. Over the last 60 days, the Client Service leadership team has identified work load improvements, implemented better Capacity Management to reduce blackout requirements, and created a team to focus on standardization. We want long-term relationships with clients and ultimately top bonuses for you!

Pros

The atmosphere is nice, some nice perks, the people are nice.

Cons

Payroll specialists have too many clients and too much responsibility. That prevents them for doing their job effectively.

We appreciate your feedback and concerns about blackout. Blackout reflects our clients' business cycles. We are actively working to minimize it, while maintaining high availability for clients during this peak period. There are many businesses like Paycor's that have peak periods. The Client Service leadership team is looking at every avenue - from process improvement to technology - to make these peak periods easier for clients and for Associates. Keep the lines of communication open - we only get better with suggestions from frontline Associates.
