Pros

I joined this organization over a decade ago and the people I work with are truly the best. They care. They want to help. They are the reason I am still here.

Cons

Over the last 3 years, there has been a major shift in culture, micromanagement, and hyper growth. Everyone I work with has tried to support our efforts in sales, but are overwhelmed with too many clients and don’t have enough time to field calls. The concern right now is how we have shifted from an employee and client first company to all about revenue and focusing on our stock price. The Sr VP of Service is not a true leader or strategic and the Sr VP of Sales only cares about growth, without ever thinking of the long term, loyal, and successful employees. I hope we start putting quality first since we have lost track of that and just focusing on growth at all costs. I hope we find our way back to what made us great once. If not, our brand and reputation will be tarnished and the turnover of tenured employees will be the norm.

We appreciate your thoughts and feedback. As you mentioned, we are growing rapidly. With that comes the increased need to continue hiring top talent. Our growth has allowed us opportunities such as not reducing our workforce at any time during Covid, offering Covid Sick time, offering a loaner laptop program to support our employees whose families were learning remotely, keeping insurance premiums flat for 7 consecutive years, and being among an elite class of organizations that offer RSUs over half of our employees. Our growth has also allowed development opportunities for Sales employees, with focus on increasing career pathing opportunities and Leadership Development Programs. We see high growth as a positive while recognizing that our employees are working in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment. Our clients will continue to be at the forefront of everything we do, which is why we focus on growth as professionals and as a company, to best serve our clients. To provide additional feedback regarding your experience as a tenured AE, we encourage you to reach out to your Director and Regional Vice President.

Pros

Pay, Can learn a lot if you are self motivated and actually put in time researching, remote work.

Cons

Management, hours, expectations, work load, work life balance, benefits, structure, support, volume of work, no accountability anywhere ever, no one has answers, dumb clients, dump people, co workers that avoid work, upset clients, complex topics you have to know how to answer questions on, constant regulation changes, calls from all over the us, call center, the list could go on forever. Sales never has anyone’s back and will hound you to keep their dollars from leaving, This place will destroy you mentally.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide your thoughts. At Paylocity, we encourage our Account Managers to partner with their leaders if they feel overwhelmed so that help or guidance can be provided.  During the initial training for our Account Managers, they are provided with resources, Zoom hotlines and leadership lines for questions, as well as a self-serve portal for frequently asked questions and system support. Our Account Managers are also provided with mentors to help them acclimate and for assistance as desired. We thank you again for providing your feedback.

Pros

I started my 100% remote job with Paylocity the Monday before schools closed in my area because of COVID-19. I cannot believe how lucky I am. When I was interviewing here every person mentioned that Paylocity makes you feel like family and they aren't kidding. There is how they are supporting us though these uncertain times. 1) Extra sick days that can be taking to support yourself or your family and they can be used for mental health too not just illness. 2) Weekly executive chats to make sure we informed about how the situation is effecting the company and all of our employees. 3) The company made donations to non-profits that serve each of the cities our offices are in and national organizations for the remote employees. But this is not just because of the virus they give quarterly grants to help causes employees nominate. They have also been celebrating the things we are doing with a #dogoodfeelgood campaign. 4) They have told us that they will not require people to return to the office as long as the schools/childcare remains closed. 5) They have rolled out extra benefits to help with mental health and resiliency, including a zoom yoga 2 days a week and ‎meQuilibrium. 6) We have been encouraged to bring our kids (and fur babies) to meetings. In fact my 18 year old special needs daughter asks a "Non-work related question" during our every morning stand up and it has helped us get to know each other better. Last week, I was in a meeting where a father was holding a sleeping toddler and presenting. When I first investigated Paylocity I was drawn to their values but I was worried that like so many companies I have worked for they didn't actually walk the walk. But they really do.

Cons

I do not see any right now

Oh my gosh, yes! Paylocity is truly a family culture that “walks the walk” every day with our values. We truly live and breathe them each day. Our leadership has been amazing with how they are guiding us through this time of COVID. They understand that we need extra sick days and might have interruptions such a fur baby or another family member during a call. I too feel blessed to know that they truly care about me. I am so glad that you made the decision to join our team and wish for you only the best here at Paylocity.
